Following Jesus was never meant to be something we do alone. Throughout the New Testament, we see believers gathering together to worship, pray, encourage one another, share life, care for one another’s needs, and grow together in the gospel.

In Acts 2:42–47, we see a beautiful picture of the early church. They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching, fellowship, prayer, and sharing life together. Their faith was not simply something they practiced on Sunday—it shaped how they lived in community with one another.

That’s the heart behind our Gospel Communities. These small groups are one of the ways we pursue our calling to make disciples, cultivate gospel friendships, and invite others to experience the good news of Jesus with us.

This month, we are launching three Gospel Communities, and we would love for everyone at Redeemer to find a group to join. Whether you’ve been at Redeemer for years or are just beginning to explore the Christian faith, there is a place for you.

Let’s pursue Jesus together, encourage one another in the faith, and open our lives and homes to others as we live out the gospel together.

This fall, we’re excited to introduce the 10:2 Project—a simple, Scripture-centered opportunity to help us grow as disciples who pray, share the gospel, and invite others to follow Jesus with us.

The project is based on Luke 10:2: “The harvest is abundant, but the workers are few. Therefore, pray to the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into his harvest.”

Beginning October 2nd, the 10:2 Project will run for 12 weeks, concluding on Christmas Day. We’ll kick things off together with a Night of Worship on Sunday, October 4th, as we pray for God to work through our church and send us out into His harvest.

The 10:2 Project has just three simple commitments:

1. Pray at 10:02 every day — AM or PM — asking the Lord to send out workers into His harvest.

2. Invite 10 friends or families to join us for a worship gathering.

3. Share your faith story 2 times — intentionally look for opportunities to tell others what Jesus has done in your life.

Our hope is that this project will not simply be another church activity, but a practical way to equip and encourage us to live as disciple-making Christians. We want to become more intentional in praying for the lost, building gospel relationships, inviting others into Christian community, and sharing the good news of Jesus.

Join us as we pray, invite, and share—and trust God to bring the harvest!

This month, we’re excited to highlight Pastor Stephen and Melissa Hall as our prayer partners. Stephen and Melissa are planting Barnabus Church in the Cleveland, Ohio area, with a desire to see the gospel faithfully proclaimed and a healthy local church established in the city.

Stephen and Melissa are also busy raising their growing family. They have a beautiful young daughter, Jocelyn, and recently welcomed a newborn son, Westley.

As they continue the work of church planting, we want to faithfully surround them in prayer. Pray for wisdom and protection for Stephen and Melissa, for their children, and for God’s provision and guidance as they build a team to plant the gospel in Cleveland. Pray that the Lord would raise up faithful men and women who are eager to serve, make disciples, and see a healthy church established for the glory of Christ.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to partner with the Halls through prayer and to ask the Lord of the harvest to do great things through their ministry.

“Oh come, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before the LORD, our Maker!” Psalm 95:6As we head into the weekend, I want to encourage you to begin now to prepare your heart for worship. So many things call for our attention and can draw our hearts away from our Lord.

This Sunday, we will gather to remember how good the Lord is and how faithful is His love. Don’t wait until Sunday morning to prepare your heart, begin now by spending time in His Word, praying for His people and inviting others to join you.
