What IS the 10:2 Project?
The 10.2 Project is born out of Luke 10:2, which says, “And he said to them, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.” (ESV)
This is an opportunity to live out our faith, invite others to Jesus and ask the Lord to do the impossible!
The 10.2 Project starts on October 2nd (10/2) with a night of worship and prayer on Sunday, October 4th at 5pm, and it lasts 12 weeks (10+2). That means that the final day of the project falls on Christmas Day. The final Sunday of the year as a Celebration Sunday where we share testimonies about what God has done during the year and during the 10.2 Project.
The 10.2 Project asks only three basic commitments: #1: Pray for the participants in this project every day at 10:02 (am or pm). #2: Invite 10 friends or families to attend a worship gathering. #3: Share your faith story 2 times.
To kick off this season of intentional missional living, we will be having a family night of worship and prayer. On Sunday, October 4th we will worship through song together as well as join in corporate prayer in thanksgiving to God as well as asking God to equip us to carry the good news of Jesus to those who need to hear it. We will also be praying for the lost in our community, neighborhoods and schools.
