THE 10:2 PROJECT – Living on Mission

Sharing our faith in Jesus with our community.

This fall, we’re excited to introduce the 10:2 Project—a simple, Scripture-centered opportunity to help us grow as disciples who pray, share the gospel, and invite others to follow Jesus with us.
The project is based on Luke 10:2: “The harvest is abundant, but the workers are few. Therefore, pray to the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into his harvest.”

Beginning October 2nd, the 10:2 Project will run for 12 weeks, concluding on Christmas Day. We’ll kick things off together with a Night of Worship on Sunday, October 4th, as we pray for God to work through our church and send us out into His harvest.

The 10:2 Project has just three simple commitments:

1. Pray at 10:02 every day — AM or PM — asking the Lord to send out workers into His harvest.

2. Invite 10 friends or families to join us for a worship gathering.

3. Share your faith story 2 times — intentionally look for opportunities to tell others what Jesus has done in your life.

Our hope is that this project will not simply be another church activity, but a practical way to equip and encourage us to live as disciple-making Christians. We want to become more intentional in praying for the lost, building gospel relationships, inviting others into Christian community, and sharing the good news of Jesus.

Join us as we pray, invite, and share—and trust God to bring the harvest!

GOSPEL COMMUNITY GROUPS – Launching Soon!

We’re excited to launch our Gospel Community Groups at the end of this month! These groups are an important part of how we seek to make disciples who make disciples and live out our faith together.

In Acts 2:42–47, we see the early church gathering regularly to learn from God’s Word, pray, share life together, care for one another, and welcome others into their community. That’s the kind of community we want to cultivate at Redeemer—places where we can grow deeper in our relationship with Jesus while building genuine gospel friendships with one another.

We know life is busy, and joining another group can sometimes feel like just one more thing on the calendar. But we believe that doing life together with other believers is not a burden—it’s a gift. We need one another. Our faith is strengthened, our church is healthier, and our community gets to see the beauty of the gospel lived out when we share life together.

So as these groups begin, we want to encourage you to consider making Gospel Community a regular part of your life. We weren’t meant to follow Jesus alone!

We currently have three groups to choose from, one on Tuesday at 6pm, another on Wednesday at 6pm and a third group TBD. More info coming soon!

SEPTEMBER PRAYER PARTNERS – Stephen and Melissa Hall

This month, we’re excited to highlight Pastor Stephen and Melissa Hall as our prayer partners. Stephen and Melissa are planting Barnabus Church in the Cleveland, Ohio area, with a desire to see the gospel faithfully proclaimed and a healthy local church established in the city.

Stephen and Melissa are also busy raising their growing family. They have a beautiful young daughter, Jocelyn, and recently welcomed a newborn son, Westley.

Throughout the month of September, we invite you to join us in praying for the Halls and the work God has entrusted to them. Pray for wisdom and protection for Stephen and Melissa, for their children, and for God’s provision and guidance as they continue building a team to plant the gospel in Cleveland. Pray that the Lord would raise up faithful men and women who are eager to serve, make disciples, and see a healthy church established for the glory of Christ.

Will you make Stephen, Melissa, Jocelyn, Westley, and Barnabus Church a regular part of your prayers this September? We’re grateful for the opportunity to partner with them and to ask the Lord of the harvest to do great things through their ministry.

PREPARING OUR HEARTS FOR SUNDAY

As we look ahead to worship this Sunday, take some time to prepare your heart and mind for what God will teach us through His Word. This week, we’ll consider the tension between Isaac and Ishmael and the reminder that we are children of promise—not because of our works, but through faith in God’s promise.

Begin preparing now by praying for our church—that we would come together with humble, expectant hearts, ready to hear from God and worship Him. Consider who you might invite to join you this Sunday, and make plans to come ready—not simply to attend a service, but to treasure Jesus together.

Let’s pray, invite, and come ready to worship our faithful God!

If missed last Sunday, we introduced a new song called “I will wait for you (Psalm 130)” and below is the link to help you worship in song this weekend.

Love you all, have a great weekend and I can’t wait to look to Jesus together!
